"You may delay, but time will not." - Benjamin Franklin
Although the above date says June 20th, 2005 this post was actually only posted on Feb.5th, 2006....But for the sake of keeping the post in context I left the date unaltered. My apologies for the delay.
Its official....I'm moving to the Rock. My life is currently a whirlwind of adventure and I'm not even sure where to start. First off I should apologize for the lack of posts for the better part of the last 6wks. I've received a lot of flak for this......I'll make up for it in the weeks to come.....hopefully.
So what's new? Plenty:
1. My doctor told me I have the knee of a 65yr old man, I'll need knee replacement at least once in my lifetime, I need to stop working as an Ironworker.............so far no surprises.
2. I sold my broken down piece of crap Jeep YJ for chicken scraps.
3. I bought my Grandparents mint Jeep XJ for the chicken scraps +250 bones......great trade-off.
4. This next one is kinda tricky so pay attention: Sherri was looking for employment in Newfoundland, found a great job, was offered that job, gave her notice at her current job, was offered a nice raise, promotion and the ability to work from home in Newfoundland from her current job......accepted the raise/promotion and turned down the job offer from the new company and is now working like a chicken with her head cut off to catch up on her work load since she slacked a bit since she thought she was leaving.....what a trooper....I'm proud of you sweetie.
5. We started looking at houses (over the internet) in Newfoundland.
6. We found a great place in Newfoundland.
7. Hired a real estate agent here and in Newfoundland.
8. Bid on that house in Newfoundland.
9. Won the bid.
10. Listed Sherri's house here.
11. I've applied for various jobs via online: Monster.ca etc.
12. Started packing
13. Crammed in here somewhere Sherri and I meet some of each others friends/family.
14. A trip to the A.G.O......for you uncultured few that's the Art Gallery of Ontario
I sure I missing sooooooo many things.....but that's things in a very condensed nut shell.
Today was Fathers Day.......Happy Fathers Day Dad.....Thanks for the great day fishing.
What a day....tons to tell....maybe tomorrow......BUT here's a quick run down: Disorganization galore, finally out there, the mangled Musky got away, the big bass that didn't, fishing rod over board, Kevin jumping in after it, hooked a perch in the butt, relaxing ride home, tackle box MIA, onset of WWIII, lucky break....all's well, grub, booze, sun burn and now onset of sun stroke....I feel really ill.
The details will have to wait......I'll never forget this day......Love you all.
